Our training methods involve providing students with a "hands-on" experience at Boston Bioskills Laban advanced surgical training facility specifically designed for surgeons and medical device companies. MDSI offers a unique and unparalleled blend of in-classroom education and hands-on cadaver lab training, providing future medical device reps the opportunity to learn and practice surgical skills like a PRO (surgeons). 

 

Minimally Invasive Surgeries (MIS) and the use of modern medical devices have significantly changed the landscape of healthcare.  "Learning by doing" gives our students an in-depth understanding of these technologies, their benefits, and real-world practical application.  It's an immersive learning experience that instills the confidence needed to demonstrate the features and benefits of complex devices to a highly educated surgeon buyer. 

 

Medical devices can dramatically improve, or even save lives.  As a medical device rep, you contribute to the betterment of patient care and outcomes. By introducing hospitals and surgeon(s) to a new device, you could help thousands of patients. The role allows you to make a real and tangible difference in the world.

The Medical Device Sales Institute (MDSI) is a licensed educational institution that offers a comprehensive training program for individuals who aspire to pursue a career in the medical device sales industry. Our primary objective is to equip students with the necessary clinical knowledge, technical expertise, and sales skills, enabling them to thrive in the field of medical sales representation. MDSI has obtained a certificate of approval from the Rhode Island Office of the Post-Secondary Commissioner. We are currently accepting applications for the year 2024, providing a pathway for those interested in pursuing a career as a medical device sales representative.
